The ability to feel negative emotions is not one she has.

I might make a comic of her backstory but basically:

Shade was walking around, when she was attacked. She was left for dead on the streets and had a wish in her heart. She wanted strength, so she would never suffer like this again. Her wish was granted, both saving her life and giving her the alter ego, Phantom Wish.

Though she soon learned that she couldn't feel sad, or angry, or afraid. She couldn't feel any negative emotions. So she became a chaotic evil, hoping one day her dubious deeds would curse her and let her suffer again.

She was the first wish.
