Description
"You'll go in through there." She pointed to a window on the back wall of the theatre, shielding her face from the falling rain. Thunder cracked in the distance. "Don't forget- that one." She jabbed at the air again."Yes, yes, I'm not blind and dumb." He put a hand on his hip and scowled. He grabbed his chin. "I just remembered something. What's our backup plan? Did you think of that?" Nos smirked at her, waiting for the realization that she had broken one of her own rules.
"Run." She looked at the wall.
"What?"
"I said run. I want you to leave the theatre at the first definite sign of backwards progress." She looked back at her feet.
"Are you sure? I mean, that's not very proactive." He looked at her like she was insane.
"No you idiot I want you to kill me and my family. Of course not! Just do it. Maybe kill of some of the rangers if you can afford too at most. Other wise-"
"Fly away and don't come back. You'll have to face the law, you know."
"I know." She frowned sadly. It was a worthless idea. "If I come up with something better, I'll let you know." Renee pretended to fire a starting gun. "Lights, camera…"
"Action." He finished her sentence. Go time.

"Welcome one, welcome all!" Renee called as she waved people into the theatre, handing popcorn to the rangers and civilians that came in. She was wearing a purple blouse and a pair of black dress pants, to look nice for the special occasion. When Team Lightyear stepped into the lobby she lit up. They were wearing black tie apparel- no space suits. She shook Buzz, Mira, and Booster's hands happily and gave them a box each. She smiled at Ty sincerely… he was something special. Much better looking than the energy vampire had described. It would almost hurt to see him die. Oh well.
"Hello, ranger Parsec." She took his hand with both of her hands and shook it gently. There were a few more compliments and flatteries, then he moved along. "Oh, wait-" The alien ruffled through a few boxes and found the one she had stashed a few inches behind the others on the bottom shelf. "Here you go."
He nodded and went up to the third row from the front. Popping a piece into his mouth and chewing, he came back again for a second. "Eager, aren't you?" He asked.
Renee felt herself perk up even more. "Yes, yes! I've worked very hard on this, making last minute plans and all. I expect BIG results." She stood up straight again, grinning from ear to ear.
"That's wonderful. It must be very good to get you so worked up."
"Trust me, it's going to be." The girl smirked and waved a hand. Her eyes got darker. He finally moved along and XR rolled up to her with a smile large and fake enough to challenge her own.
"Nice to see you again, Renee." He said quietly. "So, I guess your arm healed right."
Renee gave an angry smirk and shook his hand. "XR." Not going to miss that. She might even be doing the universe a favor.

She went wistfully backstage and prepared to work theatre magic. Something much more brilliant was stirring beneath it all, but she still had a job to do. She got checks from the lights, actors, musicians, and director that everything was ready through her headset. "Check one, two, and three, acknowledged. You are go." The lights went dim and a spotlight appeared on the stage. Taking her cue, Renee pulled a rope to let down the right backdrop and lifted the curtains. Jonah walked onto the lighted platform and started making his lines come to life. She sat back and watched the crowd from her dark corner vantage point.
The seats rippled as the sea of watchers settled. Kindle stepped up behind her in a full suit. For somebody he didn't normally wear clothes he looked good. "Comfortable, pretty?" He asked. "The show is beginning." He peeked through the curtains. "Be careful. Something could go wrong at any time." He didn't realize he was warning her. It was just babble anyway.
Meaningless or not, his voice was filled with hypnotic pride. Renee managed a jerky nod and stared dreamily into the crowd.

Nos flattened himself against a rafter. He had come inside to watch for the right moment to go get wirewolf. Just below Ty was inhaling the popcorn as if there was nothing better in the world. It might as well be good. He thought. It is his last meal. The lights on the stage grew brighter and he looked down at a girl that fit the description of Agatha Gummer. Her black hair flowed behind her, and an air of arrogance almost as big as the vampire's surrounded her. The girl's olive skin gave off a small radiant glow.
"It would be a terrible shame if something happened to her." He sighed, grinning.

XR glowered at the actors, already bored. "It's not Broadway talent, that's for sure." He opened a compartment in his chest and brought out a martini glass. He poured a half-glass of oil and spiked it with some antifreeze. "What are you doing?" Mira asked angrily.
"Keeping warm and awake. I'm going to have to be pretty lubed to stay up for this play." He emptied the glass into his mouth. In his opinion the play and the benefit were just big wastes of time.
Mira gave him a disapproving scowl but didn't say anything more. Ty stuffed another fistful of popcorn into his mouth. "Ty, it's not that good." She worried at him.
"I'm fine. Just really love popcorn." He wasn't exactly telling the truth, though. Normally he hated anything so bland. But the popcorn was addictive, and it seemed like something was leaving bitter hints in the aftertaste. "It's like coffee." He nodded.
"What?"
"Never mind." He muttered, eating another handful of the corn. Suddenly there was a painful crack and pop as he bit down on a rock and swallowed it. Ty rubbed his jaw. "Stupid seeds." He growled. The man felt his stomach starts doing flips; a sickening sensation welled up in his throat. "Bathroom…" He choked, dropping his popcorn, and ran.
