Renee found the rope for the basement backdrop and lowered it. Kindle came up behind her again. She turned to him, smiling. She had seen Ty make his mad dash for the men's room and now the seat was empty, popcorn spilled all over the floor. The girl would have to go hide soon. She had already covered all the exits. "Renee…" He grunted. Her eyes widened. His face was splattered with more of his own blood. Only she didn't know it was his blood. "Help me…" He stumbled forward and into a wall. He shook his head. "You stupid Zephyr girl." His voice slurred.
"What are you doing? Kindle!" She took a step back. A few drops of his blood hit her face. An urge (A Zephyrite thing) made her poke out her tongue and lick up the blood that had landed on her upper lip and chin. It was warm and salty. Definitely his. "What's wrong with you?"

"Ty's been gone a long time XR." Mira looked at the man's empty seat with a hint of worry. She glanced at the spilled popcorn. "You check on him." She started to pick up some of the few kernels left. Nervously she tried to crush one in her fist. "What?" She tried again. "Buzz, a little help here?"
"Uh, yeah, what?" Buzz looked away from the performance. "What?"
"Ty ran off to the bathroom and hasn't come back yet. I think it has something to do with this." She pointed to the snack food in her palm.
"Why in the universe would you think that?"
"Because, Buzz, this popcorn is a ROCK."
He rolled his eyes, being a big shot as usual. "I really doubt that Mira…" He snatched the kernel and tried to crush it. When he opened his hand there was only paint, salt, and butter sitting in a pool in his palm. The green moon rock illuminated his face.
"Oh my God, Buzz! Do you see what's happened?" Mira cried. She didn't want to start a panic. "We have to get to Ty and XR!"
"Wait." Buzz grabbed her shoulder. "Do you hear that?" There was barking rising above the sounds of the actors.

XR knocked on the bathroom door, putting away his martini glass. No answer. He knocked again impatiently. Suddenly there was a growl and something hit the door with a thud. "Gah!" He jumped backwards. "Ty… buddy, are you okay in there?" He opened the door and reeled back in terror as a set of mechanical jaws came flying at him. "Eeeeeeeeeh!!!!!" But- wait. Instead of the familiar feeling of being ripped apart, he found himself on one of the rafters. "Whoa, thanks buddy, you really saved my servos back there. Boy, this is like Dejavu or someth-Eee!" He looked up at his savior, Nos-4-a2 looked back.
"Oh, now look what you've done!" Nos hissed, peering over the rafter's edge. "You've gone and set my pet loose! You're such a clumsy oaf. I'm Ever so hungry. Renee is quite strict, you know. Won't allow me to have anything she doesn't approve of."
"What?! Renee? But she was so sweet as a little kid." He frowned. Really that was a lie. She had been a little mischief maker, and the reason mice weren't allowed on Star Command. "… Tell me I'm not on the approval list?" XR was shocked.
"Sweet no more, my little morsel!" Nos laughed and rubbed XR's helmet with his claws. "Sweet no more. Quite brilliant, actually. I mean look at these repairs." He swirled around for a second in the air. " And, for this mess, I would have to thank you." He laughed and leaned up on the ranger's helmet with his elbow. "You mind helping me out by, say, satiating my hunger?"
XR gulped. "Uh…Erm… Aren't you going to ask if I have any last words?"
"Not quite. You just make it worse for yourself. Now… sit still!" He lunged.

"You killed my father!" Kindle shrieked and began barking like a mad dog. She backed up and stumbled, falling off the stage onto her back. He stood at the edge and jumped off, overshooting her. A woman on the front row screamed and tried to scramble away as he landed on her. She was lucky that he was too focused on Renee to really attack her. All she got was a few broken ribs and a deep cut when he kicked off the seat and chased his friend down the hall.
More people screamed and backed away. A few rangers tried to chase Kindle but he turned, eyes burning with hate, and gave an insane howl. They were easily reminded that they didn't have their usual Star Command attire on. Renee scrambled onto the staircase and up, trying to find refuge in the old ventilation system that could be accessed through one of the closets.
