Description
MatC one shot for HidanKittenName: Ashlen Hopper
Age: 17
Looks: blue eyes, long curly hair, 5'7"
Personality: mostly a loner, friendly, kind, can have a VERY bad temper -which involves swearing- generous, quiet
Place you meet: In a hotel room. He gets news of a teenage traveler and becomes happy; this would be an easy kill and no one would even miss her (Yeah I want more of the evil Vlad but he becomes nicer once he realizes I am half monster)
Do you want to get bitten: Yes I do, it's after the fact he bites me where he realizes I am a witch -I pass out though and then wake up in his castle-
What do you want Vlad to do: I want him to sneak into my hotel room, -where I will freak out since he broke in. I will demand who he is and how he got in but I won't be too rude as I can sense he was a vampire but I do not say so-
Other: I am a witch that likes to travel. My parents taught me to see the good in all creatures. They taught me that even monsters could be good (as they are good friends with a British vampire) once I turned 17 I moved out and travel. I don't really like to use my powers to much unless I have to, I am helping someone or I am just plan bored. I do NOT use my powers on Vlad until last minute. I burn his wrist in attempt to get him off once I calm out of my shock. -Mom is human, dad is the wizard- Vlad does try to hypnotize me, which sort of works; I am aware of everything happening but my body feels too heavy to move. What happens after that... surprised me XD

Count Vlad was pretty much lying around in his castle tonight. He was thirsty, of course, but didn't want the same girls he fed on each night. It was growing old to taste the same blood over and over and only occasionally killing his victims. The vampire had to watch his back about killing because he stayed put in this town. Maybe he just liked the old castle, or maybe because his servant Igor would be hard to carry around so far as traveling.
Igor knew that the count was bored and had just gotten word of something that would put some light in the vampire's eyes. "Master!" He shuffled in with a grin. "There is a seventeen year old girl in the hotel across the town."
Vlad brightened. "Is that so?" He wrung his hands together, licking his lips. "And vat does this little morsel look like?"
"She is tall and has long wavy hair." The little man chuckled darkly and made a coke bottle figure in the air. "With blue eyes."
The count smiled, feeling his fangs already growing. This traveler sounded beautiful and, because she was a traveler, was an easy kill that no one would miss. "And she is alone?" He wasn't surprised- if she was seventeen the girl might be college hunting.
"Yes." Igor nodded enthusiastically. The count would feed well tonight.
"Vell, then vat am I still here for?" He chuckled. Transforming into a bat, Vlad flew out the window. The wind was blowing softly and he glided easily across town. It was late and the moon had raised, a crescent beacon of light in the sky. In his seven hundred years the count had learned to love the moonlight as much as he had admired sunshine in life. He wondered momentarily if his son had loved sunlight as well.
The vampire shook it off- no use looking at the past. He felt the burn of thirst become more intense as he approached the hotel. He landed on the roof, smelling running blood in nearly every room. Most of it belonged to men but several women could be heard. The count listened for the ripe, rushing sound of a teenaged girl.
There, he found it- third floor, fourth room from the back corner. He changed into a cloud of smoke and floated outside her window, observing.

Ashlen sat on the edge of her bed and sighed tiredly. The witch had been on her feet all day and was ready for an evening's rest. Her eyes were drooping from exhaustion. It had been a long day of traveling that had finally dropped her off in this little town. She rolled over tiredly and stared at the wall. With some of what wasn't dead weight now Ashlen got up to change into her pajamas. She crawled back into bed minutes later and fell asleep.
Vlad took his chance and slid under the windowsill, still in his mist form. My, she looked beautiful. And delicious. There was something a tad… off about her scent though. It didn't smell entirely human but he couldn't put his finger on what the smell was. The vampire shrugged and retook his human form. Even if she smelled a bit off he would still feed well on this kill. "Vhy, hello there." He whispered. He was finished watching- now it was time to feed. The vampire cleared his throat to get Ashlen's attention. The teenager shifted faintly in her sleep and looked up, confused.
Ashlen's eyes widened the moment she saw Vlad. The witch instantly sensed he was a vampire. Her father was a Wizard but her mother was a human and some monsters were prejudiced about half breeds. She had been taught to respect monsters because they were what they were it couldn't be helped. However, because she was a mix, there was some real racial quarrel.
The girl didn't want the vampire to know she was a witch and did what a human would do if they found a strange man in their room– demand to know how he got in. "Where the heck did you come from? Get out of my room!" She hissed.
The count chuckled. How cute. As the girl got out of bed to grab the closest weapon she could, which was a heavy book, Vlad decided he would have some fun with this kill. Tease her a little bit, at least for a few minutes. With his levitating powers Vlad knocked the book out of her hand.
Ashlen, still pretending, gasped. "What the heck do you want?" She knew good and well what he wanted. As it was kind of stereotypically expected for vampires to kill most of their meals, they did just so. Though some have morals they usually didn't stand against girls the witch's age.
"My, doesn't somebody have a temper?" He asked with a smirk. Taking a step towards the girl, Vlad kept his fangs hidden. One of his feet tapped the floor in time with her speeding heart. It always reminded the count of a rabbit caught in a corner when his victims got scared.
"What does it matter? I told you to leave." She growled angrily. The 17-year-old would play human until he left or she had to fight him off.
Vlad twitched in irritation. This human obviously had a short temper. He didn't want to hear anymore and took a step closer, beginning to hypnotize Ashlen before she could even make another move. "Come to me, my dear." He coaxed at his victim.
Ashlen realized she had waited just a bit too long. Caught the vampire's eyes, she suddenly felt too heavy to move. The witch knew what was happening because, being half monster herself, she couldn't be completely controlled. The vampire paused when she didn't come to him. Vlad shrugged it off though – she was frozen still.
The witch still didn't want to use her powers on him and just hoped he would leave her alive. As the blue skinned vampire took overtook her, Ashlen tried to struggle. Her family was friends with a British vampire knew how strong they were.
A human's senses would be numbed before the bite but Ashlen had more resistance. She was only immobilized and shrieked when he bit into her neck. Vlad paused – had his hypnotism not worked? He shrugged and kept feeding.
The witch was getting weaker and colder. She could feel that he wasn't going to stop unless she made him. Through the waves of half negated pain she grabbed his wrist. The girl used her power to make a small fire, burning the vampire away like someone would a leech.
Vlad felt a searing throb of heat in his wrist and jerked backward, coming off of Ashlen. He looked back at her in time to see a small flame dispersed from her palm. She could use magic! That meant she was witch and... He had just bitten her. Before he could do anything else the girl passed out, tired from the blood loss. Vlad came over apologetically and touched her soft hair. He wanted to apologize but couldn't very well do it now. The vampire rubbed his burnt wrist sorely and picked her up in his arms.
He opened the window and turned to fly outside. Her long, wavy brown hair flown the wind and she shivered again. It was late spring in the air was a touch chilly, added in with the fact that she had lost a fair amount of her blood. The count landed at his castle's front door and opened it.
"I trust you fed well?" Igor started, but froze when the count came in with Ashlen. The girl wasn't dead, which meant something was wrong.
"Prepare a room for the girl. I vill explain it all ven she's in bed." Vlad waved the little man away and sat Ashlen down.

Ashlen woke up slowly, feeling heavy and uncomfortable. She was in a stiff, unused bed in the cold Castle. Her neck ached and the witch remembered the vampire had bitten her, and burning him off. Now she was somewhere completely new.
Slowly she got up, still in her pajamas, and looked out the window. From the view she could tell this was the 'abandoned' castle across town. Was this with the vampire lived? Why had he brought her here?
The count heard her wake and quickly got up, ordering Igor to fix their guest breakfast. Though it was morning he was still up, not wanting to abandon the witch yet. The hunchback brought in a tray of waffles with Syrup. "So this girl is a witch? And you couldn't smell it on her?" He asked.
"She's half-blooded, so I couldn't very vell tell." Vlad carried the tray up the darkened staircase.
Igor, who hated humans anyway, wasn't one who liked half breeds. It meant a monster had fallen for a human. "Then why not just kill her?"
"Because it vouldn't be right, Igor." He opened the door, conversation finished. "Good morning." He waved to the girl.
Ashlen heard sincerity in his voice and took the tray. "Thank you." She cut into the waffles and added some syrup.
"I apologize for last night." Vlad started. "If I had known you vere a witch I vould've let you be."
"I'm fine." The girl sipped orange juice. She knew they had to hunt. "I understand how it is."
He blinked. Even as a mix she would've met other monsters. "Feel free to go ven you finish."
Ashlen was a traveler, and had left home when she turned 17. "Thanks again. By the way, I'm Ashlen Hopper." The girl stuck out a hand for him to shake, confident that the vampire had no more intentions of hurting her.
"Count Vlad," the vampire paused. "Vlad Hide." He nodded. She was certainly taking him in well. The witch had been taught to see the best in all creatures, including vampires. Even the bloodthirsty things had emotions and morals.
