God I fucking love Domino. I have a legit crush on Zazie Beetz and was barely sitting on my seat for the whole premiere because of how hot she is in this? Dang. Everyone in the movie paled in comparison to my wIFE.
I drew this initially right after Deadpool 2 but could not be motivated to do the background for ages. My first idea was a warehouse, but it didn't fit with the (premature) lighting I did for Domino, so I kind of lost interest in finishing this piece. Eventually, I got the brainwave to do Blind Al's house, which I heavily sourced, and think that would be a good location for them to spar.
Fun Fact #1: The yellow edge around Deadpool's little reaction shot is a reference to many iterations of his comic book character having the same edge when he's speaking
Fun Fact #2: I actually have a katana I got for a cosplay a while back that served as my main reference for Deadpool's
If y'all have any advice/critique on lighting and backgrounds and perspective, I'd be happy to hear it
