The World Cup is only less than a week from today and the USA team have arrived to Qatar 🇶🇦 to participate at the competition. Despite that soccer is not considered a popular sport in the US, the USA team qualified for the World Cup 10 times. Their first participation was at the very first World Cup in 1930 where they finished in third place 🥉. This was their best performance. Lynn, Gosalyn, & Boomer are obviously more like a US Women’s National Team than a Men’s National Team, ‘cause the USWNT are stronger than the USMNT when it comes to soccer ⚽️. The men are just not very good and skillful in soccer, they never won any World Cup other than just finishing third at the 1930 World Cup, they also missed out on 9 World Cups in a row from 1954 to 1986. Their recent absence from the World Cup was in 2018 where they finished in 5th place of the group behind Honduras 🇭🇳 who eventually lost to Australia 🇦🇺 in the intercontinental playoffs. Unlilke men, women are very good in soccer and are very strong and dominant, they qualified for every World Cup ever since the inaugural competition in 1991 and recently qualified for the 2023 edition. They won the WC 4 times with their recent win in 2019 and are looking to defend their title. The USWNT are ranked #1 in the world but the MNT are currently ranked #16 in the world as of October 6, 2022.

((BTW this stadium is called Al Bayt, it’s located in Al Khor, about 51.8 km north of Doha, the capital city. The driving time takes about 47 min from Doha to Al-Khor. It’s a very beautiful stadium that it is in the form of a tent ⛺️.))

The USA 🇺🇸 are drawn in Group B with England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿, & Iran 🇮🇷. They will play Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 first on Monday, November 21 and then England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 on Friday, November 25, and then Iran 🇮🇷 on Tuesday, November 29.

This is the USA 🇺🇸‘s 11th appearance at the World Cup finals.
