Illustration I created for upcoming game Gotham Knights.
The first superhero I have became aware of was Batman. My brother bought the "Batman: The Killing Joke" comicbook and I was just stunned by it. (Well, looking back now, I think maybe I have seen it a bit early ) The figures, and the facial expressions and the whole mood of that story were just superb. And for me that dark, brutal, serious and gritty world remained the "real Batman feeling"And this is what I wanted to put into this illustration. While showing the team and the heroic fighters( KNIGHTS ) stepping out from the shadow of their mentor and true friend Bruce, I tried to show something dark and sinister... But never forget about the hope these heroes and their unity represents.
