Scansoriopteryx heilmanni uses its peculiar foot, long arms, and peculiar hands to climb up vertical trunks. This is highly speculative.Note: The first toe, or hallux, is incorrectly pointed backwards. The toe actually extends medially to slightly anterior, so would closely align to the other toes.

This is probably one of the first steps in the evolution of Genus Avis. I'm no expert, but the picture gave me this impression.
You've done your studies very realistic. Despite of the fact I actually tried to look for some mistakes, I wasn't able to found any.
Indeed, I am very thrilled from how were you able to make extremely deep details. Drawing ancient animals is definitely your strongest points.
