An idea I've had since maybe around 2010? Although the initial idea was a cat-boy...but I think I prefer the cat : ). recently I've been remembering a lot of old ideas I've had so I'll be going through them xD.
Story completely open to interpretation.

I like this, particularly the colours of the mermaid. I do think it lacks a little in expression and, therefore, interest. My own observation is that the 'story' is a little weak. I think you are going for mutual curiosity, right? Mayby a head cocked to one side, slightly, or a bit more of a tentitive smile might add some drama.
Still really like the image though. You always do lovely work!
