Imagination birthed from books...This is one of the sketches I like enough to post seperately
Another drawing from My Sketchbook Project .
You can find the rest of it on my tumblr .
Yay, i started using watercolors. I hadn't really touched watercolours in years until now xD;;. a little rusty but still just as fun as I remembered. I think I took off most of my old watercolours off dA though

How did the paint not mix with each other and smudge and junk? Every time I water color, that always happens!!

For me personally, I think it's either be the watercolor you use, or the amount of water that's used with it. I suggest experimenting with watercolors to see what works for you. Using a somewhat medium amount of water and watercolor can prevent colors from mixing completely, or setting down one layer of paint, waiting for it to almost dry, and then putting another shade on top of that might work as well. I'm sorry I can't give a definite answer - I'm learning just like you ^.^

Eh, I don't use watercolor often anymore, so maybe it's the lack of experience. I think I use too much water though...

Can I as how you got such defined lines and colors? Im starting to fiddle with water colors and it doesnt look anything close to this? Thank you

always keep a wad of tissue paper with you so you can dip off excess water. Too much water can make it hard to control where the line goes. it's really a balance of how much water and how much colour and how you control your brush v_v; a steady hand helps. Sorry i can't help more
