▹She really wants to figure out what's going on behind this weird door, and hopefully bring something back to impress her mentor, Cassiopeia.
RELATIONSHIP TO VEN
▹Addie considers Ven an odd and sometimes annoying duck. She met him when she started apprenticing for Cassiopeia a year back and he seemed immediately drawn to her. He initially set her on edge with how quickly and often he
wanted to familiarize his presence to her, but Cassiopeia vouched for him as a great handyman and bodyguard to ease any worries. It helps that Ven has never actively crossed any boundaries to make her really uncomfortable. In fact, he is quite accommodating to her - she need only say the word and Ven will drop a subject or give her space, no further questions asked.
Though they tease and sometimes bicker, she does like their banter and has attempted to get to know him more, but he never shares much about himself. If she tries to get more personal information or attempts to comfort him about something that might have upset him, he is quick to brush things aside and spin the subject to something else. He always has time for her, but seems to pull away whenever she is the one trying to get closer. Given his big and loud "look at me" attitude, it's even more confusing. She would like to actually call them friends but...are they?

MAGIC BAG
▹A bag with an unlimited store of items inside. Even Adelaide has forgotten what she's stored inside after literal years. But if she ever needs something that's in the bag, all she needs to do is think of the specific item and reach in. She can think of something more vague like "fire" and get a rune to summon fire, a potion to ease burns, or somebody's mixtape. Adelaide has stored a variety of items inside her magical bag to help her out in a sticky situation, from elemental bombs to decoy summons. Unfortunately, some of these items have a tendency to be cheap and unstable and have a risk of harming rather than helping.
RUNES
▹With the help of various runes she has studied or created, Adelaide can use a variety of spells. Few of these spells are very strong offensively and she's most effective at personal based spells - a water breathing spell, levitation spell, etc. Adelaide has a large store of runes inside her bag and multiples of them. How these runes are used can vary - a "flash grenade" type of rune may be thrown at the ground in front of an enemy to blind them while a warming rune would just need to be held in her hand.

An eccentric woman with an eye for magic. Studying it, at least. Adelaide has always been at a disadvantage with whatever magic she wields. Cyclopes typically don't wield intrinsic magic and, because she was adopted (by someone with no skill in magic, no less), she's had no family to guide her either. Adelaide has spent most of her life with her nose in one book or another, trying to find the school of magic she excels in. Her knowledge is vast as a result but no magic has really felt like it belongs to her. This search has taken up most of Adelaide's life, leading her to apprentice under a strange and morally ambiguous mermaid. Cassiopeia works in mysterious ways, but if following her direction means finding her magic, then when Cass says "Go through that strange door," Adelaide will say, "Push or pull?"

▹ Adelaide took gymnastics in high school, something her mother insisted on so that she wasn't just studying all the time. She didn't keep it up competitively, but she doesn't mind showing off a backflip from time to time.
▹ Adelaide went to a community college and got an associate degree in arts, but it was more to just have a degree to put on her resume than anything else. Her passion remains in magic.
▹ The cat design on her shirt is the logo of her favorite youtube let's player. It is also the sole reason why Ven calls her Kitten.
▹ Adelaide's magic has always taken on a pink hue, and thus has always been her favorite color.
