Ayame's eyes fluttered shut and she lay motionless, her tail limp on the ground beside her. The Roe tried to wake her by shaking her midriff, but Ayame remained unresponsive. Gently lifting Ayame's eyelids, the Roe peered into the depths of the Au Ra girl's eyes - they were glazed over and vacant, but her pupils did contract in response to the sudden light - a sign that Ayame would be knocked out for a good long while but was otherwise fine.
