I have my knowledge, no demons control my mind.
Turn from you and fly free to forbidden lands.
Once my angel, You Turned, You Fallen!
Go, Hide your face
And let your guilt crush you.
See how your tenderness is wasted
Wandering, lost, with no other
Unto whom to bestow your tears.
Each drop falling without company;
You will never see me cry again,
My unforgiven one

Photoshop 7, more than 30 hours from scratch, can't remember exactly how long.
I'd love to do more on this piece; improve it further. I can't get enough of it.
I looked at some reference images of dresses to get some of the folds on the dress looking ok.
I'd just like people to know: This is what is inside my head.
You see here a window unto my mind. That which I paint is who I am.
This is how I feel.

It's so mesmerizing with all the beauty in the incredible details.

I'm really glad that you like it - one reason I do the painting is because I find it easier to get a message across. Although I do like writing bits and pieces of poetry just to go with them

Lovely photoshop work, and there are interesting parallels between the two--their hair/headpieces, the small tendrils at the hems of their clothing. They're striking, at least together, although the girl's hair would make her stand out alone as well. I love his wings--they look like feathers might be torn away by the wind at any moment.
I'd be interested to hear a more thorough explanation of "That which I paint is who I am." Fantasy images can be interpreted in so many ways, and there is an emotional resonance to the sad look of the man (and the lack of face of the woman--is she distant, even with he who symbolizes distance? But perhaps I am getting ahead of myself).

I'm afraid it's very difficult to answer the question, I guess I just paint what's in my head, or what's bugging me at that particular time. The poem is written from the guy's point of view. The girl is unforgiven - but does he really mean the anger and hatred that he feels towards her? That is the real question - the character's pose in the image suggests otherwise.
Apologies that I can't explain it very well, I guess that's why I painted it instead
