I spent the better part of an hour compiling and scanning pages worth of sketches from January to February. Most are just random silly things I draw while killing time waiting for a class to start. Some are pictures or comics that never went anywhere, or didn't think were funny enough to warrant their own Deviation.

Unfortunately I don't have much time on my hands, but I took a quick look and your stuff's already quite good; it took me a long time to grasp drawing humans, and your art is coming along nicely. Just keep at it and draw constantly, and I'm sure you'll go places.

I love sketchdumps. They have great pose references, and make me feel like I need to work on being more imaginative when I'm drawing, and to be more patient when I have a good idea rather than just try to scribble it down real quick and get tired with it. These remind me that not all the artists out there are just sitting at a desk drawing studiously like it's a job all day, but doodling awesomeness on notes and whatnot! XD they also often have really funny concepts and juxtapositions.
curse you, you've made me clopin-obsessed. I'm reading Victor Hugo's book now.

Every now and then I like to browse dA for sketchdumps. And JUST NOW WAS ONE OF THOSE MOMENTS. I typed in "sketchdump" in the search bar, hit enter and look what I found on the first page.

..I was going to launch into a long-winded and probably incoherent explanation of why I think this is so, but then I would sound like a nimrod, so sum-up: I love sketch dumps because reasons. They have lots of life and stuff.
It's still pretty nimrod-y but it's short.

And there are so many nice things in here I can't comment on all of them or I wouldn't be finished anytime soon.
But I have to say that I adore the Clopin sketches in the bottom part. The are so nicely shaded. And I really laughed at the sketch with Clopin and Bib and their boots.
And we get to see Jaris and Horace again! I am totally happy now. ^^

I realized there's less Bib than the others because I tend to like having photos/my figurine handy for references. Still not confident in my ability to get him looking like him and not just some guy with a pair of lekku slapped on his head.

thanks. I never do copy. I just study different styles from different artists to learn how face expressions and proportions work in the different styles.
I prefer myself a very rough style...but I am still learning how to do it right. I think face expressions that really make fun to watch at the most difficuld thing to do.
