The quality is really good, but the elf? thing has it's head turned the wrong way... very awkward position. If it weren't for that, the piece would be perfect.

This piece really jumps out and grabs you. The coloring and detail work is terrific. The thing that bothers me, though, are the position of the arms, hands, and blades. I can't place it exactly, but it almost looks like her hands are backwards. Might be because I can't quite make out the details on the gloves (and this is looking at the larger version on DAPrints). Otherwise I agree with the others that it needs a bit of expressed motion to make it easier to understand. Fabulous work.

sweet work, well done! you captured the ensuing battle, the characters from ogre to the hero (i think) are well made. the background is good too, shows the depth, well done!

there is incredible movemtn in the piece, but its so hard to figure it out. It took me a while to see what was happening, but if you had made white motion lines/blur of the club going down to the ground that would definately help the "movement" of the piece. Right now it just looks like theyre screaming at eachother and not moving while dust and stuff flies from their feet.
i dunno, my two cents.

Something about the character poses make it a little difficult to understand just what is going on. That said, both the situation you've created and the colouring are great.

Awesome stuff, I think that guy is going to get his butt kicked. He doesn't seem to be concentrating on the task at hand, which is, not becoming the red stuff between a trolls toes. I reckon the troll will go for a sneaky kick right between his legs.
Hopefully he has some magic to call upon, maybe from the ancient rune etched sword which was passed down by his forefathers.
I love the dust being thrown up by the clubs impact, a nice touch, and also the texturing on the trees, that looks like a lot of work.
Has the warrior been struck? Maybe that is why his helmet is off and his arms are thrown back and he has that 'standing 10 count' look in his eyes.
The backdrop fades out beautifully and the detail is awesome. + Fav

but might i say you should add some sense of motion, of the club coming down on the ground... maybe a little blur at the bottom or something...
because my first thought was... why is she looking off to the side when she should be looking at the monster?? then i noticed the club on the ground...
