Description
I have a bit of a morbid streak and I really wanted to do something no one else has thought of first and this is the result. (If anyone has already done this, I can’t find it.) It’s supposed to be the 1947 Beechcraft Bonanza 35 that crashed on February 3, 1959 killing Buddy Holly, J.P. Richardson, Ritchie Valens, and the pilot Roger Peterson.I've depicted it here on it's last successful flight from Des Moines to Mason City, IA on 2-1-1959. There are a lot of pictures of the aftermath but none of what it looked like before. I'm not 100% sure about the white leading edges and wingtips but a lot of the old Bonanzas are painted that way so it's possible.
Done in two afternoons with Photoshop CS3. Not perfect, but I’m pretty happy with it.
