Description
Discordia. Stephen King's Magnum Opus mentions this place of chaos and discord. Hence the clever name of "Discordia". I know ... the man is a genius.

But when I was creating this fractal, that is what I was reminded of. Stephen King's Discordia was one stop of many in the Gunslinger's travels to find the Crimson King, and Castle Discordia was the Crimson King's home.

See where I am going with this? Good.

And for future gee-whiz knowledge, Discordia was the Roman Goddess of Strife. That's pretty cool if you ask me.

Anyways ... I had previously submitted a similiar deviation, but liked the image running more vertical. It gives more of the portal feel in my opinion. Kind of reminds me of the end of "The Monster Squad" when the portal to Limbo is opened and all the monsters are being sucked in to it!
