Aptenodytes forsteri are certainly an elite member of the Antarctic avian world; one of the countless images in my gallery (not encountered on deviantART, but a normal artwork gallery; a password is required prior to entry) limns an octet of Emperor Penguins circumambulating almost languidly whilst attempting to encounter the temporary humans in single-file adjacent to the Byrd Station (Byrd Surface Camp).
Another image in the synonymous gallery limns an AdΓ©lie Penguin (pygoscelis adelidae) attempting a brief encounter with a researcher located adjacent to the aforementioned base; a third limns both spheniscid species amongst the annual fast ice of which is normally considered the midwinter breeding ground of aptenodytes forsteri; and a fourth delineates a trio of Emperor Penguins socialising within the premises of the Amundsen-Scott Research Station.

This one is my favorite, though I think a landscape angle showing the shadow would be even hotter.
I like the shades in the snow... and the penguin. All the shots are nice, you're getting better. D:
