This is an homage to that theme, I guess.

She knows you're there, behind her, up to your neck. Your fate is sealed. You don't have long.

But, she doesn't care. She keeps moving, thinking she'll make it to the other side. If you're lucky, she'll struggle as she panics and you'll last long enough to see the quicksand take her under before it takes you.
