I beat the game, but besides the story there really isn't that much great about it. You can only take one partner and the stages are really repetitive. It just didn't seem much like .hack to me outside of all the returning characters.

How come Haseo is in it? Isn't he old enough now to not be playing The World anymore or busy with other stuff? I dunno. Still, hopefully it's interesting.

Let's hope it's not another //LINK. I really can't tell why he's in it. Nothing's confirmed, and maybe it could be an awesome next-gen reboot of //GU.
Speaking of which, even though everybody grew up, Digimon Xros Wars II is currently reviving old Digimon protagonists with their respective age (not current age), so we might see a 'time warp' phenomenon, perhaps.

Ha ha possibly. The games were fun, although I thought the gameplay of G.U. wasn't very much like an online game compared to the original .hack games.

Digimon? It's everything - it's made by the same company behind .hack (Bandai).
Even Wiseman in //Outbreak would invite you to try out Digimon some time if you message him a lot in the .hack games.

My brother doesn't want me to play them (or at least the original ones) since he bought them, even though he isn't playing them at all either. Ah well; it should be exciting to see what they have planned. Hopefully it isn't something half-assed like some kind of minigame set with .hack characters or something

Oh yeah I heard about this just recently. I bet my brother will be excited about this; he loves his fighting games after all. Me though, while I like the idea of a new .hack game, I am not good with fighters but I will still buy it if it comes out in english anyway lol
Also it looks like the fan-made english translation to .hack link is pretty far now too

The trailer to the movie looks pretty cool and it shows a bit of gameplay too. I just hope they put in alot of characters. Only being shown Sora and Haseo and it being apart of a hybrid pack makes me feel like it won't be a full game

Well, I'd rather they at least add characters through DLC than as a hybrid, but I wouldn't mind any outcome. The possibility that they could keep continuing with this direction just boggles my mind.
