First off, let me say, wow, it has been a long time since I last did a photomanip like this, if ever. As can be discerned from my lack of submission these past few months, I’ve been in a stump; hopefully this means that’s over.

Something I am very proud of in this piece is the mane –first I got rid of the original (what little there was of it) and then I painted it in, all from scratch. It was my first time doing so, and I have to say I’m rather pleased with how it came out. Not quite realism, but better than I had hoped for. Part of the tail is also painted, but not most of it –mainly it’s the lower end. The original horse looked like this: [link]

(I have to add though, partway through I think my subconscious began to liken this to ~cradlesongxx ’s character –what can I say, it’s the paint horse I know best )

Edit-- Maybe it was because it was late, but I didn't notice that the mane had a weird green streak in it... well, that's gone now. Also, because I have a glossy monitor I didn't realize how dark the picture was; it's a tad lightened now as well :]
