Fun Fact: when Hasbro launched Beast Wars in 1996, they lost the trademark on "Bumblebee", so the one bot named after an animal had to sit out the animal-themed toy line.

Same design philosophy as last time, just easier. Bumblebees (the bug) are already roughly the same colors and shapes as Bumblebee (the guy). The transformation's meant to mirror the G1 Bumblebee, but I went ahead and added the stripes and wings from live-action Bumblebee. Robot colors were kinda tricky, 'cause the Beast Wwars character Cheetor also has about the same colors as Bumblebee usually does, and I didn't want the two to look exactly the same. I went w/ a sort of orang-y gold instead of blue, partially as an homage to Goldbug, and because it looks like honey. I also threw in his stingers from Animated, which end up where the stingers on a real bee would be in beast mode.
