Training. Yep. Despite Sakura's super strength and new found healing abilities, I still find her to be incredibly useless. Y'know, I've never really liked most of NARUTO's female characters that much. Mmmmmmmm... unfortunate D:I should've had this done like two days ago but I got caught up playing Super Smash Brawl since we recently got a Wii. Fun stuff :B

That's sad that you don't find Sakura's character appealing... I can definitely understand how you'd see her as useless. Regardless, I think you've done a great justice to the character and she's absolutely beautiful. And someone mentioned something about her being obsessed with Sasuke... which just made me laugh. I think Naruto is far more obsessed...
Your colors are so gorgeous and fluid, and even though they're so simple, there's such an amazing depth to them.
Thank you again! Sakura is one of my favorite characters. And I normally hate girls in anime. ;D I think I have Shippuden to thank for that.

I agree she is annoying in the beginning and I was disappointed too with her "growth" in the second half of the series.

I can tell why you think she's completely useless still, a lot of people who disliked Sakura still do. I never really liked her in the beginning of the series(when her hair was long), but I'm a huge TS!Sakura fan. I like explaining to people why she stays in the background most of the time during fights.
I may be repeating many, even Kishimoto-sensei, but a medic needs to be able to heal the team, obviously. So she stays back so the safety of her team isn't compromised by injuries that could have been prevented if she hadn't used up her chakra. This is why she still remains on the defensive. Sakura needs to be able to heal her team, and if necessary, protect herself to a limited extent instead of going on the offensive like her team mates.
Do I make sense? I really don't know. It sounds okay inside my head.

I don't have an issue with her being in the background, I have an issue with her consistently seeming useless. Just about every female character in Naruto (except Tsunade) hasn't had their "badass triumphal moment" to staple them up there as a formidable character even though we're well aware of their potential in ability. Even the Sasori fight, she was heavily aided by Chiyo and I'm just yet to be impressed with her overall.
For example, something Kishimoto could have done was saaaay, have Sakura come up with her own healing jutsu that surpasses Tsunade's showing her talents orrrrr, her beating an opponent all by herself for once etc. I don't know, I don't write the series.
It's just... she's mixed in with a very talented cast that all seem to be able to witfpwn (hell, even Chouji got a nice spotlight against Jirobu), she just needs that ONE chapter to show her skills.

I agree, I see where you're coming from now. Unfortunately, it seems as though the series may be ending... And there has been no so called, "Sakura Arc", that people were gossiping about.
In fact, Sakura has been kicked from the spotlight the very first time she appeared in the latest chapters. It's very unnerving for me, especially since I believe that these ending chapters need some kunoichi-closure if you catch my drift... There are so many loose-ends that Kishimoto-sensei is failing to tie together. Forgive me if I ranted.

I'm glad that you see Kishimoto likes trapping himself within his own writing, because everything he does encourages fans to want to know more, rather than supporting a conclusion.
I mean sure, we all want to see the series end but that's just because its so damn long and people who don't like the series are hoping for it's reign of success to end.
Unfortunately, he just keeps coming up with things that raises our curiosities constantly even in the latest chapters (ie, new characters, new political relations, new battle mechanics, new motives behind said characters etc.)
It's so sad.

The guy's proven himself intelligent but I really can't see a plausible way for him to end the series without continuing it with a spin-off series or letting other people write sequels/prequels to it (ie .hack// series)
Bah, it's so difficult to associate with the Naruto phenomenon in general. Too many people like/hate it for all the wrong reasons, it becomes increasingly difficult to separate from them and express an educated opinion on the franchise.

Yeah. It makes my poor brain hurt...and the chapters are becoming boring. From what I've seen, even Gabzillaz is getting tired of writing funny reviews for them.. because it's not funny anymore. I really don't want to write a review this week, either.... Bah.
Someone writing a pre/sequel? Death to them. No one will be able to do it without introducing some Mary-sues and Billy-Bobs... And the pairing-wars... It'll be like a bad AU fanfiction.

God knows Kishi comes up with all this junk to appeal to fanfiction writers anyway <_>

Naruto is just as obsessed with Sasuke and finding him in Shippuden, and yet no one ever seems to notice that fact.
Sasuke is their team mate, and Kakashi-sensei taught them that people who break shinobi laws are considered trash; but those who donβt take care of their friends are worse than trash.
Looks like a deep friendship with someone (even if they are misguided as Sasuke) is something people don't take seriously.
It also seems that their is a double standard between Sakura and Naruto in relation to the fact they both love Sasuke.
Sakura is not the same girl she was in the first part of Naruto; she has grown up a lot as is seen in the manga time and time again, and most starkly in her reaction when seeing Sasuke, she was even prepared to harm him to protect Naruto, Sai, Yamato-sensei and herself "With her own power" [link] .
People don't have to like Sakura, but do not put false labels on her.
Anyway, the picture is very well done, and the color and perspective are awesome. Keep up the good work, I hope I can be as good as you one day with art.

I've grown to absolutely adore Sakura. I actually find her to be pretty, unlike most. Even if she is a useless sack of potatoes before Shippuden, I think she finally blossoms in to one kick-ass ninja. But that's just me.
This fanart is really nice though. I love the colors and the proportions. Although as everyone has mentioned, her boobs are a good bit over their actual size, but that's probably what you intended. So, great work.
