For some reason, Derpy's style is the one that surprises me the least. In my head canon, EG Derpy is a teen model who's as conscious of her own appearance as Rarity, yet less of an attention seeker. She's just comfy looking good and she can't care less about the amount of heads she makes turn. She's only in her normal ensemble because her friend Golden Harvest told her she may give the impression of being a vain airhead, which she didn't like at all (she may come off as a bit childish, but nobody dares to call her "airhead" to her face, specially not after what happened to that young man a few months... *shudders*)
Should I... try to put my headcanon on a story or something?

I just realized: My headcanon for the background 6 (Derpy, Golden Harvest, Lyra, Sweetie Drops, DJ Pon-3 and Octavia Melody) is very different for both MLP and EG (Pony!Derpy can see perfectly because of magic, she can focus her eyes but doesn't do because she doesn't use them and her clumsiness is because she has the mind of Pinky pie, but in a more mature package -Derpy is at least 3 years older than the pink rubber mare-, while EG!Derpy truly has vision issues, but her modeling training keeps her from being clumsy and her mentality is closer to Rarity than Pinkie, but still shares her counterpart's love for muffins and sweets in general -In fact, in one idea I have, the Pony BG6 ends up in the EG world by accident and the EG!Derpy even calls Pony!Derpy out on her behavior, much to the Pony!BG6 surprise)

It wasn't her, it was Rarity: This is based in the video of the title that was released as a teaser for both MLP S5, MLP:EG3 and probably the upcoming MLP:EG series. In the video, Rarity magically has Derpy, Lyra, Sweetie Drops(BonBon) and Cheerilee into those styles.

Everybody feared that would happen with the second movie when it was announced, or with the first movie, or even when the series about EG was announced. Hell, people thought S3 was gonna be the last because of how it ended and all that and it was outright proved that was not the case. We can just pray, but so far, so good.

Nicely done and looks great. Sunset's eyes looks odd though maybe because the left eye is slanted?
Being an animator for MLP and EG(Equestria Girls), I would really prefer animating EG digitally (not on paper coz you know...) hand drawn rather than in Flash because I feel like I'm being constrained whenever I'm animating them andΒ I think it would make EG characters look more appealing like in this one.

Derpy? lol I dont know who that is(yet). I'm only familiar with 6 main character and the some big shot characters like Luna so I thought that was Sunset coz of the hair. I've only been with MLP mid-season 5 (season Β 5 are out, right? I'm not disclosing any spoiler of some sort here, am I? coz that would be really bad.). I got access to the runway vid and the other shorts when I got to work on some scenes for the upcoming third installment.
anyway, this still looks really nice I feel like I want to animate it.

Derpy is the gray and blonde mare with the wall eyed stare!
She's a background pony who made her first appearance in the very first episode. A layout artist threw it in as a gag, but that gag became visible when the scene camera was moved outwards. Fans noticed, and she started looking like that in every episode since Feeling Pinkie Keen (S1E15).

after googleing her for the pony version, I remember seeing her in a scene a co-worker next to me was working on. I thought she looked like that(derpy look) only in that scene coz the episode itself was tooooooot!(Im not gonna describe it for I might give out anything that hasn't been officially released yet).

You either mention Nightmare Moon's history in Season 4's Premiere, which is where the story of NM's defeat is shown, or the actual first appearance of Nightmare Moon... which is in the first episode, and where Derpy's face was seen by the first time. S5E13 was not released yet because S5 was not released yet.

nope. I have not watched or seen any episode from the previews seasons because I don't have access to that archive, ever for the animatics and storyboards. The only access we have are s5 and EG files because thats currently where the production is and also some scene files of the previews seasons for references and reusing of animations.

Oh, I see... well, for your info, Derpy became famous because of that scene, which was an animation error. But the fans kind of obsessed with her and all that. She got a talking role in season 2 (The Last Round-Up, the controversial episode that had to be rereleased by Hasbro due to complaints about Derpy... Tabitha St. Germain believing she was voicing a male didn't help at all) and a silent major role in season 4 as part of the Ponyville team. Hell, She had two cameos in the first EG movie that actually acknowledge her two fan facts (That she's a mail mare, hence the letter she was carrying, and that she loves muffins, which is why she was dancing with one in the credits). Basically, she's the most famous MLP Background Character there is.
