Description
A long time ago in a kingdom far away lived a princess. Every day she would go out into her kingdoms famous Rose garden and nurture the flowers. There were many a thorn there, but she never once complained if her delicate hands got scratched. It was there in the garden that she met a boy two years above her age. He was a tender lad, always kind and loving. It didn't take long for the two to fall in love. However any relationship to be had by them was Frowned upon by their family. Still, the young couple did not care, and continued meeting together in the garden. All was content and happy for a while, but what is a story without tragedy?
The young maiden fair's Mother found out about the relationship one day by happening to look out the window just as the Maiden and her Love shared a small kiss. Enraged, the Queen became angry and stormed down into the garden to the young couple, who became frightened upon seeing her. In her rage the Queen cast a spell over the couple: For all of eternity, for FOREVER more, the couple would be doomed to remain in the rose garden forever, only venturing out of the garden on the day they had met, and only for a few hours time. They could only leave if they found new loves of their lives, thus allowing them to leave, OR if a powerful witch came through and released them of this curse.
It has been over 200 years now since this curse was enabled. Every year People have whispered and rumored that the ghost of a beautiful young woman was seen wandering through the now overgrown thorns that crept up along the old castle walls, choking off many of the flowers that lived there save for a few roses.
The lady has never been seen accompanied by her Love, and sometimes if you stay and listen for a while, you may hear the maiden softly crying to herself. Many people have discussed this and wondered if perhaps the lad had fallen for another and thus escaped the curse while leaving the Maiden behind to be alone forever until her curse may be broken.
The legend of the Thorn princess is an old tale, a tale as old as time. It has been told to generation to generation, and only the bravest or foolish of the bunch would try to see if the story was true. Some never returned, while the ones that did spoke of a fair maiden bringing them back out of the thorny maze almost ten minutes after having walked in.
We never knew what happened to the ones that never returned.... some say The Princess picked them to live with her in the rose garden, others say they wandered for so long in that maze of overgrown thorns that they eventually died there, their bodies decomposing and becoming part of the earth, causing even MORE thorns and roses to grow.

Whew that was a LOT of typing! X,D But yes, Thorn princess is my own og character, I love her so much, anndd you MAY recognize her from the Drawtober of 2023 I did X3 Because that's how she came to be born : D Tbh I just drew her because of the prompt being "thorns/thorn" and then I didn't figure out ANY story for her but now I've come back to her and given her story so YIPPIE DDD
