Tex Avery - anyone who doesn't know that name doesn't know real cartoons. He produced dozens of shorts during the Golden Age of Animation, his best works, IMO, being made at MGM where he really let his imagination and pencil loose!If Tex was alive today, he would be 100. So here's a devation celebrating his sucess with some of the funniest and memorable characters ever made

Tex Avery is the true king! Without him, we wouldn't find sex appeal in cartoons. If he didn't create that hot rod of a woman, cartoons would be a kids only focus.

man, i remember staying up late to watch Tex Avery 'toons on Cartoon Network throughout my childhood... i totally wanted to ring Screwy's NECK, OOH GOD HIS LAUGH MADE ME HOMICIDAL >.<
...anyway. oh, how i love them. i wish he was still around... this is the coolest dedication ever!

I really love Tex's bulldog (Spike/Butch) and that unnamed cat. Alone or together, those two are rather underrated alongside Screwy, Droopy or even George and Junior. Oh, and not forgetting Jubalio Wolf, 'cause he's so laid back, man!
And I think you maybe late to throttle Screwy, though - he was literally killed off in his last theatrical short "Lonesome Lenny". Happy for some ^_^
