The planet Tarmok, a planet rich in resources, but of all these resources, none are more potentially dangerous than Krymzon, a red colored gas from the planet’s core. Those who are exposed to Krymzon become brutal berserkers characterized by their blood red skin or fur or scales or even feathers in the case of avian life forms.

Skurgs, who are already fierce fighters, become even more so once exposed to Krymzon. They lose two of their four arms and their legs end up fused into a tail-like appendage. They grow larger and more belligerent. The only trace of their former selves are stripes on their heads denoting gender, light blue for males, pink for females.

This particular group is called (loosely translated) the Toxic Furies.
