Aaron Peter Alvarez is the only son of Sofia Alvarez and the Viltrumite warrior Armstrong. Aaron was raised in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, living a semi-normal life. As normal as one could get when your father is a powerful alien that fought the entire Justice League single handed. When he was eight his powers awakened, his father told him the truth about the Viltrumite Empire and about his powers. Aaron was shocked to learn that his father was part of a conquering alien race. However, his father didn’t want him to become like him or the others of his race. Armstrong trained his son to control his powers the best he could, but one day he feared that the other Viltrumites or something else would come for his son. Armstrong’s time on Earth had made him more compassionate towards others, including his son. By the time Aaron was ten, his father had decided that the only way to protect his son was for him to disappear. But he couldn’t just vanish, he needed to go out in a blaze of glory. Armstrong sent a false report to Viltrume hoping to dissuade them from sending any more Viltrumites. He then went out in a blaze of glory, facing off against the Justice League. The battle shook the whole planet with Armstrong knocking out Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and injuring Superman. After the fight, Armstrong was sent to the Phantom Zone by Superman. Aaron and his mother watched the news as Armstrong was sent away. To them he wasn’t a supervillain or a menace, he was their father and husband. Aaron continued to train in secret but didn’t take up after his father. He started up doing small heroics within the city he grew up in. By the time he was sixteen, Aaron had made a makeshift costume and was known as the Windy City’s Guardian. He had fought a small number of rogues, the Mauler Twins, Titan, Bi-Plane, Plastique, Punchline, and Sofia Falcone. Aaron took up the codename Invincible as a tribute to what his father used to call him. He thought that his path was a bright one, living up to the good values his father and mother taught him. Then the Joker made his move. Aaron was flying through the air when he heard a massive boom coming from Metropolis. He checked up the news and learned that the Joker had been killed by Superman. Aaron soon found himself in a world where the lines that were once clear were now blurred and the morality was unknown. With threats coming out from all over the world with the Regime and the looming threats from space, Aaron will have to pull out all the stops and truly become Invincible.
