This was an excercise for myself. My normal style is part "Sailor Moon," part "Charlie Brown," and part "Batman: the Animated Series," but it's mostly "Lazy."

So I did sketches of Jojo (from the American version's Vol. 1). Araki's style is totally different and way more detailed than mine. The idea of the challenge was for me to go outside my comfort zone. I tried to get as much detail as I could within the time limit.

I'm not sure, but I think he builds his figures up from gesture drawings like these rather than stick figures like I do. He's got a quick gesture drawing at all of the chapter stops.
