There's absolutely no humor or creativity in that other Sonic artwork. You look at it and you drop dead from the boredom. You've managed to take these familiar characters and put a fun new spin on them, and that makes all the difference.
It sounds like I'm kissing your ass, but I'm completely serious. You can only see so many brightly colored hedgehogs on the Internet, claiming to be Sonic's second cousin, before you start begging for something fresh and unique. Spin it however you like, people, but a pink girl hedgehog is STILL SONIC!!!
