This subterranean terror is capable of swallowing an average sized human whole and stood upright They travel at tremendous speeds through the earth yet are sluggish and easily avoided when at the surface presumably due to an extreme sensitivity to heat and sunlight.

Due to this they primarily feast on carrion and are drawn to battlefields where they can emerge from the ground and devour the combatants. This is often their only opportunity for live food.....
