I am pretty sure this has been pointed out before, I am sure there's already a comic of this, BUT I AM MAKING ONE ANYWAYS.Seriously, I can understand a group of rugged pirates for not knowing the science of water cycle, but for Team Magma, which looks so calculated and scientific in the surface, not knowing about global warming is really dumb.
Again, I prolly should've submitted this 6 montsh ago when ORAS was still a thing.

To be honest, I stopped at Gold/Silver. Wasn't so much that I lost interest in Pokemon, more that people got me different games for birthdays/Christmas.
And when I say "real mudding action" I mean actual shots of him getting muddy. I doubt they changed the color of the sprite to indicate just how dirty he had become.Β
Besides, then they'd have to worry about /some/ people having a bit too much fun with the function...

That said, I am 100% convinced that Team Magma's plan was to use Groudon's ability to force volcanic eruptions, expanding the land the old-fashioned way by building up coastlines with lava. For pretty much the exact reason you gave! xD
