Now this...this was an education. I accidentally used low-quality sketching paper for this back in 2016, for the first time, and the background was a nightmare: the paper kept shredding its texture and I couldn't erase anything without severe damage. And, for some reason, I couldn't make the background balanced at all. In the end, I gave up in frustration and decided to try Photoshopping it. That didn't go so well, either, but it helped convey my vision.The anniversary of this piece arrived, so I decided to revisit it with pencil. There was still severe damage from the previous attempts, but I was able to finally give it a decent background and provide a reasonable balance.
