Description
... and teach me howto name the bigger light, and how the less,
that burn by day and night. and then i loved thee
and showed thee all the qualities o' th' isle...
- caliban in the tempest, shakespeare.
craptastic (and wonky) photo, i know. this is a detail from a large painting. water colour + ink; you know the drill.

i like the little moments of clarity - in the eyes, the shape of the nose, parts of the heart - that provide a 'real world' reference for the rest to bounce off. generally your work is getting more, um, 'psychedelic', but your refusal to let go to bits of realism means it still posseses emotional depth & relevance.
oh, and your skinnygirl is delicious btw, i want to take her home & feed her.

this is amazing, the ultra-realism of the face is cleverly juxtaposed against the mutated figure and reference to the medical textbook heart.
the tempest is my favourite shakesphere play.
