I don't watch/read bleach, so I think I have a kinda-sorta right to ask why those two have what looks like pieces if a skull on their heads. So, why do they have something that looks like a skull on their heads?

they are arrancar, a reallly advanced hollow (soul eating monster with an exoskeleton like thing) so the only part of the exoskeleton they have left is that part of the skull. all arrancar have a different skull designs, just like the hollow.
but if you dont follow bleach, this prolly make no sense XD so....sorry U^_^

but these two characters dont come in till WAYYY later in the series, so it might take you a while.
i'd suggest the anime just because that's just what im used to. you can find episodes that are completely up to date with the japanese online, but theyre subbed, so idk if you like that or not. all the bleach eps (160+!!) and a bunch of other anime on animecrazy.net.
if you prefer the manga, onemanga.com (i think) has it up to date? but the translations arent always accurate...but it's a lot farther than the anime is.
