HOLY HELL! The piece youre looking at is the THIRD attempt at Princess Jasmine! 3 times I started and RE-started to get her right. Nothing to do with the line work, it was all with her colouring. As I looked on my Copic swatch book, my certain 'E' section markers looked fine. Once I put it on paper and layered it is when it looked worse. She looked too dark every attempt. It was incredibly frustrating. On attempt number 3 I wasn't having another mess up! It was painstaking but here is the FINAL version of Jasmine and Rajah.
Rajah ear is cut off from the scanner so the hard copy has a full ear fyi.
Also noticing my scanner is copying all these pieces really dark. It is thinner paper than I'm used to so I may end up scanning with a white bristol board backing behind it in hopes of catching ALL the blends in this pic... Especially Rajah! theres at least 4 different colours on him and you can see maybe 2.
