Description Here's the OpenType version of the font used for Sanguine Games' IRONCLAW: SQUARING THE CIRCLE, the second edition of their fantasy game.

If you want a media project to have a unique identity, a custom font can be an excellent choice. Every title is immediately stamped with originality.

The font had to communicate "fantasy" while still being legible. While a Fraktur-style design might have communicated the era, that style of letter-form isn't very read-able, especially at smaller sizes. The rounded shapes were inspired by good ol' Uncial, that mainstay of Celtic design, while the strokes get their thicknesses and serifs from 15th-century Italian calligraphy. The capital letters have these odd "clawing" serifs that aren't quite drop-caps, but they obviously look different, a stylized affectation. The final result combines classical-fantasy theme with modern design sensibilities.

While you might be able to use this font in body text, it was really designed for titles.

UPDATE: Fixed some display problems, added kerning. Also, the font now shows up as "medium" weight instead of "bold" weight.  You'll want to un-install your old version.

You can find more details about the IRONCLAW game at their official website, www.SanguineGames.com .

Oh, thank you! I've been hoping you'd let this genie out of the bottle since you first designed it.
