"Alduin bane of kings"(You better download it to get the best impression, especially of Alduin.)
Dovahkiin facing Alduin.. just an idea of how I'd imagine an epic final battle could be.
Skyrim... such an amazing province in such an amazing universe!
Looking trough the artbook accompanying the Collector's Edition, You are left in awe by all the details and amazing designs..
While taking a break from studies I put this on the digi-canvas while having the inspiration.
Rough greyscale painting and some color and light effects.
Any opinions?

Looking at this full size and listening to the theme for skyrim, SO EPPIC! YOU DID AMAZING ON ALDUIN!!!!!!!! So awesome, though if I were that guy fighting him I start shouting become ethereal because he might miss Alduin.

This is now my desktop+phone wallpaper+iPod Touch wallpaper. I had to resize and modify for the ipod, though, I put them nearer so both heads, dova's and dovahkiin's on the screen. Hope you don't mid x)

Argh, I saw my friend telling some people that he drew this when I know he can't draw crap... After I told him I found this on Deviantart and a bunch of soundtrack videos, he's claiming he posted it on the internet... Have any ideas to prove that he didn't draw this?

I didn't add any signature to this as I wanted it to be a clean wallpaper piece. But I do however have the original .psd file so if he continues to brag about having made it(especially if he has re-posted it somewhere taking credit for it), make him prove it by showing you the .psd file, if not he cannot prove having done it

Alduin is the best Video game antagonist so far!!

Well I can't fully agree before I've actually faced him, seen how his personality is
But design wise, he is a very uniquely designed character
Also in general, to me the best video game antagonists are Ganondorf, from Zelda, and Saren from Mass Effect.

But having brought that up.. He is nothing compared to General Grievous, he is THE ultimate most epically awesomelookingactingsounding character ever created, there are none superior nor equal to him!

I like how there's no real penalty for not immediately going after Alduin.
No matter how much time you spend faffing about completing other quests and otherwise doing fuck-all, the world never really seems to end. Alduin is just sort of there, like the free dessert after your food being delayed for one hour at a restaurant.
He's a great dessert though.
BACK ON TOPIC:
I really like this painting. It portrays the feeling I, and I think, most others get when fighting a dragon on a mountain, a tower, a hill or at a cliff edge.
In fact, I once did something similar to this, only I died from the fifty foot drop.

Ha ha, well it would at least be something of a rush if you had to complete it within a limit, although a game with consequences of delay would in itself be interesting if developed right.

This is also the best depiction of Alduin I have ever seen.
Perhaps not physically, as there are some differences between your painting and the in-game model, but rather the mentality one should have when fighting him. It's just a shame you don't get to kill him in an epic duel on a mountaintop, but rather go to Sovngarde and slay him with the assistance of three ancient Nord heroes.
Sure, there's that one fight at the Throat of The World, but meh.
As compensation, every time a dragon appears, I now run to the nearest hill, tower or mountain.

I know the size isn't the same, I've only encountered him in the opening of the game.. not in the main quests so I haven't had a decent look at the proportions
That said, I did intentionally reduce the size for this piece, as a natural sized Alduin would bring too much outside the canvas, or make Dovahkiin too small for the piece to have the same impact.
Ha ha ha, Let's make it the new Skyrim joke(too many arrows in the knee the past months
