(Always wanted to fix the face on the original, but never felt like I was able to. Now that I have somewhat moved to a digital medium and my art style has improved when it comes to male anatomy, I spent an afternoon redrawing it.)

Due to its placement geographically and politically, the United Kingdom of Narssi and Cende was a neutral power. Despite staying out of most conflict that swept the world, the United Kingdoms watched carefully to improve its defenses. Situated along windy mountain roads and forested valleys, bunkers and fortifications were placed strategically to defend chokepoints an invading army would take. On the eve of war, the United Kingdoms began to mobilize its armed forces to full power, which lead to the reservists being armed with older weapons and equipped. During the war, the United Kingdoms' only military operation was skirmishing against submarines that entered its waters from both sides of the conflict. By the end of the war, the United Kingdoms finally entered the war alongside the countries aligned with the Empire of Kelinia. In the postwar years, the United Kingdoms gained territory, mostly small islands from the Yeojin Commonwealth, as well aiding in the policing efforts in East Adrana.

In the Cold War era, the Narssian Army's equipment was domestically produced, only taking a handful of foreign models to supplement outdated equipment. The infantry wore the M/23 uniform from after the Great War to the early Cold War period, with it being replaced by the M/47 as the Army modernized. Helmets were issued, though the M/15 Helmets were despised by the soldiers due to the weight and how its shape inhibited hearing. Most infantry preferred to wear their cap to supplement the uncomfortable design. By the time these issues were fixed, the Kelinian-style stahlhelm was imported and produced under license and the infantry preferred this model over the M/15. Most infantry were armed with the CH/M1946 Automatic Rifle, though sniper units and reservists where given the M1889/12 Infantry Rifle. Around this time, the Narssian Army was receiving aid and equipment from the Empire of Kelinia, which resulted in large stocks of canteens and tent quarters that doubled as ponchos. Many soldiers preferred to use these over their native counterparts, which lead to many units having both domestic and foreign equipment being used. As the Cold War carried on, the United Kingdoms lead a denuclearization campaign with other non-aligned nations, enough to have terrorist cells funded by the Eutorian People's Republic emerge from the countryside. An entire counter-terror operation began, with armed soldiers sweeping the forests and mountains to eliminate the dissenters. Eventually by the late stages of the Cold War, the United Kingdoms was a powerhouse in the region both economically and militarily dominating their former enemy to the south, which was now an ally in the Kelinian led ICON defense pact.
