(Yup, you know what time of the year it is. Now that I am a member of one of the most honored communities in the United States, it feels weird to have "thank you for your service" even though I am like fresh out of boot camp. Other than that, I am proud to serve my country, but the real heroes are the ones who go into combat, come back home, and have to fight a new war that unfortunately remains silent. I have yet to experience combat, but with me going greenside and having the possibility of deploying with the Marines, it's inevitable I experience the things my great grandfather saw that made him never talk about his experience during WWII. Now the alternate name for this piece is "The Frozen Hell Called Chosin", cause it was actually supposed to be posted yesterday, but I was stuck on the theme of it, since I wanted to also do a thing for the 248th Birthday of the USMC. I think the monochrome, with one color adds to the theme of this tribute not only to the veterans of the United States Armed Forces, but to those who fought in the Forgotten War, otherwise known as the Korean War.)
