Great work, I use this clock in my Windows 7 x64 - works fine. Sometimes when I turn on seconds flipdown, clock works very slowly. It's probably inevitable due to the programming language.
Please add second version - with black font and white background.

Thx 4 comment and !
Skin are on my todo..
On my System Intel i7 the whole sidebar.exe uses 0% cpu with or without seconds...
Maybe its too much for your system to animate seconds?

I have Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 (2.93 Ghz) - but problem isn't in hardware. Sidebar.exe eats maximum 4% od my CPU. On my slower laptop with Windows 7 (32-bit) your clock works OK. I suspect the problem will be in Java applet . I will try update my soft

Hmm thats a weird problem, all gadgets should be rendered with IE7 JavaScript engine i guess.... hmmm i might have to test this on some older systems...

I already updated my system by Windows Update (including IE8). I also update Java 6 to build 23. I don't know where was a source of this problem - but seconds flipdown is now OK .
Also 'sidebar.exe' use less CPU (mostly 0% CPU, maximum 2% CPU). Thanks for your help.
Waiting for the version with black font and white background - like in HTC mobile phones .

In next version i should tidy up and optimize the code...anyway
The skin thing is a bit complicated cuz i must use the html img tag
But iΒ΄ll work on it asap

I love the clock works great on Windows Vista x32. I would like to see a bigger one in a 12 hour clock format please

Rah2005 In reply to xTriWolfx [2011-02-05 12:10:50 +0000 UTC]

You mean bigger than the "big" style? Have you doubleclicked it?
Noted on my todo: 12h/24h format!

Thanks for new version, but I met new problem.
I set my default font size to 125% (medium size) for 1920x1200 display, and the small size is displayed in abou 160 dots wide. In Windows 7, built-in gadgets (cloxk, calender and weather, etc) are displayed in about 160 dots wide in 125% font size (In small font size, they are displayed in 130 dots wide). This is not your problem, but I do not understand why some gadgets are displayed in wide.

Hmm canΒ΄t really imagine what you mean, is it stretched to length?
Since last update or already before?
And really big thx for testing and suggesting

Thanks.
It worked as I hope, and small size just fit to the other gadgets (130 dots).
I found this problem when firstly installed Windows7 (64bit) with 125% font size.
I appreciate your works.

I appreciate your effort to make this gadget resizable.
But it is still bigger than the ordinal gadget size (i.e. 130 dots width) and does not match to other gadgets, and I propose that small (130 dots) and present sizes(medium: 207px x 68px; big: 411px x 134px).

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Rah2005 In reply to matsuda0707 [2011-02-02 07:23:20 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the proposal i will definitely do more sizes and set the default size to the 130 dots...
But first i must get rid of this "stuck" bug somehow... this really annoys me!

matsuda0707 In reply to ??? [2011-01-21 02:42:07 +0000 UTC]

It is too BIG!
I hope the size of gadget is resizable by user setting!

Rah2005 In reply to matsuda0707 [2011-01-21 08:26:40 +0000 UTC]

I guess "resizable" is not directly possible...but maybe options like "big","medium","small".
We will see

Thats super uber cool mate !!! i just f*ckin looooove flipdown clocks !!
works like a charm on Win 7 Pro x64
like yuki2785 said... a smaller version would be uber cool, and maybe a choice if u want the seconds displayed or not.
but maybe you had given that a thought.
i talk to much
for an alpha it runs smooth as hell. if i fidn a bug or somethn i tell right away.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Rah2005 In reply to Onecton [2011-01-20 21:52:13 +0000 UTC]

the first try i did was all without seconds
Note that on my to do
It should run as smooth as possible already...
Still have found some weird problem with Windows suspend mode on one PC

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Onecton In reply to Rah2005 [2011-01-25 16:51:24 +0000 UTC]

it does run smooth ...
i didn't encounter any strange problems so far ..
will check ut the suspend mode when im back home,
also maybe if its resisable, that would be really nice

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Rah2005 In reply to Onecton [2011-01-27 07:13:32 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it runs smooth here too!
somehow there is a bug i could only catch on one pc with the suspend mode. where clock gets stuck...it annoys me

Onecton In reply to Rah2005 [2011-02-09 20:47:03 +0000 UTC]

do you mean that sometimes it lags just a bit in the seconds and then catches up ? noticed that today on my laptop.
Sweet resizing! now its perfect !!

Rah2005 In reply to Onecton [2011-02-10 07:20:08 +0000 UTC]

Nope, there was a script error after hours where the animation refused to go ahead
but it should be fixed now...
thx
