"Why." Angel muttered to himself, shivering at the difference of temperature between his body and the lake. "Why hot. Why water. Why swimming. Why couldn't it have been a sudden snowy day--" he made a face as the icy water splashed with his steps and sent droplets all over his chest and chin. "--ugh, with a fire, blankets, some marshmallows... some stories and music... THAT's nice. Not swimming!"It was unclear what made his mood so particularly bitter. The heat, getting wet, not wearing his scarf... probably all those factors together.
And maybe, only maybe... the fact the water DID feel really pleasing in that hot day.
