They are the tiny yellow dots 606 Dancing On Ice is running away from. Wallace has taken over for Azura on showing and teaching Dancer that new things are not scary. He placed tassles on her blanket and bridal a while back to help shoo flies but also get her used to being touched randomly all the time. They were going for an evening romp in the pasture to build her confidence when the fireflies came out and spooked her.
