So many time I see digital art trying to pass itself off a traditional art. It's wonderful to see traditional art trying to do the opposite.
Jaw-dropping technique.
This is awe-inspiringly good.

How long did this take you to paint? How many tries? Just this one? It's amazing!
I thought it was a photo the first time I saw it. I remember the silver toned skin caught my attention. Now, looking at it, I can't get over how awesome his shoulders are, with all those little pieces – especially on the right. The blue glow at his neck rocks too. His eyes look REAL, and the only parts that make it look the smallest bit like a painting would be the ear and the way his chin and... neck flab? Connect to his neck. AWESOME! You're amazing.

I get the impression that whoever is seeing this is in a virtual reality but doesn't know it and the man depicted here is like the personification of a computer or a program designed to reason with and test individual subjects both mentally and "physically" for a massive underground--but harmless-- research project. Your work is spectacular and really deserving of the DD

I am incredibly impressed with this piece. I find oils such a hard medium to use and you have achieved such realism with them. The glow on his skin is amazing and I love the block effect on his suit. The background is simple and his face really draws your eyes into the painting. Congratulations on the Daily Deviation, your art really is an inspiration to me and has been since I first saw your piece 'Hatshepsut' on here. All the best.

At first glance, zoomed out in a thumbnail, one would think that this is a CG piece. Closer examination, however, and to my total amazement, this was all done with traditional media. Positively fantastic work, with outstanding attention to detail, with a bold sense of wonder and fantasy. Reminiscent in many ways of Heavy Metal magazine, I think. This is wonderful. Great work.

this is truly beautiful. I especially like the way the forehead is so well textured, I imagine I could press it and feel bone underneath. Very well-deserved DD!

Completely blew my mind when I saw it in today's DDs. I love the alien sci-fi look of it, the blue tones to the b/w palette and the dark tone of the skin. And the eyes are simply amazing -- so detached and infinite.
