Description:
It really irritated me seeing all off these Mega Mew's that focused around DNA or fully transformed the body like Mewtwo, Mew isn't a Genetic Pokemon, it has nothing to do with Mewtwo, Mewtwo is a Mutated Clone of Mew that's why it can transform its body fully, Mew cannot do this, it's a regular old fashioned flesh and body pokemon that can just learn every move lol!
So for this design I decided to go ancient, I wanted to tie in Mew' Ancient Pokemon card (Example of the Ancient Mew Pokemon Card Back below!) to Mega Mew, so I wrapped Mew in gold/copper like the back of the Ancient Pokemon card, and even added the Energy orbs to the metal, It has every orb that's on the back of the card, the Fire orb can't be seen because it's on the other side of the right leg, I added 2 tails so I could have a place to put every orb, I put the 2 tails in a sort of Yin Yang kind of Circle. I tried to stay in the order of the Energy Orb on the back of the Ancient Mew Card, Star Energy as the head orb, leading to Water and Lightning, then Fire and Psychic, and finishing off with Fighting and Grass on the tails. When I was done it felt more like a "Primal" than a "Mega" Pokemon, so I added light pink colored tribal like tattoos over the body like Primal Kyogre's Light Blue designs.

Ancient Mew would just be regular Mew just in the past when they carved stone tablets. But the jewels on the back never had any explanation, so that's why I wanted to tie it into a Primal Mew Concept! I'm glad yu love it!!!

Lol I'm glad yu think so! Honestly if yu think about it, the Ancients that made the card may have seen Primal Mew, and that's where the back of the card idea come from, I think that would be a great back story for a movie, then one day they find a Ancient Primal Mew Card, and there's some kind of bad guy/s trying to get the card, and Mew actually evolves to protect the trainer who finds the card and the card, kinda like older pokemon movies lol!

I'm glad yu like it, looking at it like this and thinking about the ancients that made the Ancient Mew card, if they seen Mew Primal Evolve that would offer a nice back story to the creation of the card. And yeh the Energy Jewels took some time each one has an Energy cut out in it, even the Fighting Jewel behind the right foot.

That's definitely a unique concept, I never would have thought about something like this. Either way, it turned out beautiful! I normally don't like megas/primals, but this? This is something I would use.

When ever I do I Mega/Primal I always catch up on their past first, to see if it gives any inspiration for the design. Luckily Mew has more history then most, so an Ancient Mew themed Primal was the only way to go for me lmao! I'm glad yu like it, Mew is one of my faves, so believe me this would be in my team, probably as a DEF tank because the added defenses of the Steel type addition!

You know, it would also be interesting if the gems played in somehow to the stats, like giving it the ability Multitype or Color Change

Hmmm, maybe each gem give an ability if it's hit with that type, like "absorb 30% of Grass type damage received, Reflect 30% of Water Damage received back at the attack Pokemon, Reduce 50% of the damage from Fire type moves, and so on...

Ooh, I like this idea! So the types that the ability would be activated by would be Grass, Fire, Water, Electric Psychic, fighting, and Normal (and possibly Dark, Steel, Dragon, and Fairy if you wanted to include all the current TCG types and not just the ones on the back of the card)
Maybe the ability could be called "Trump Type" or something to that degree

Eh... I guess it was worth it! Lmao, just keep practicing, yu don't have to be good at drawing to edit something in photoshop lol! Almost all of my EX cards are pokemon I scrapped together from multiple images to make a new pose, then I made a New Outline, if yu learn the tricks of ur image editor art can be as easy as it takes to to learn how to make circles with black borders around them! All of my outlines are 100% circles/ovals that have a think black like around the outside, I then line the black circle outline on the outline of the image I drew/scrapped together, then cut off what I don't need of the circle, my style takes 20 years, but it gives me crispy 100% editable art, so I like it!

Well that could work but I personally think it should be Ancient Orbs, as in plural because when it uses Primal Reversion it has the eight orbs surrounding it.
But then again it works either way.
