I'll have to add story after I get home but!!! This is a rp between myself and Alue666[Ramen]
Normally he'd been home earlier, to be able to watch the sunset from the comfort of the trees and listen to the birds soft melodies. Time seemed to get away from him more and more nowadays though, as a little trip to go get his new bandana from the market ended up with his usual distractions. Most were playing with pups or daydreaming, enjoying the weather as the breeze went by.
He did wish he realized the time earlier, but cursed none of it away.
No, since it was already getting late he could relax to watch the stars outside.
"What a nice night this is...so quiet, ahh~" he'd whisper gently as he'd land and start his short walk. A path led to his home, near the thicker trees his stood out only a little with a candle lantern.
[Alue]
Melody's head began to ring, and it got worse the more she gained conciousness. She whinced, and whimpered as she held it. Everything hurt, especially her back. Her limbs felt on fire and one of her wings refused to move. She became to cry, ball even.
"Mama!! Papa!! Waaahhhh!!" She wailed. She forced herself to move toward the cliff she fell from putting her paws up and gazing above her, trying to see where she had fallen from, and started to call for her mother again, remembering what happened before she had fallen. The dark was starting to scare her too, she just wished she was back at her safe warm home
[Ramen]
He had only begun to hum a light bouncy tune as he'd reach for his door, when he heard an odd sound.
Nothing like the sweet birds or crickets songs as they rose for the coming night. No, no it sounded like pain almost. Very faint too.
The tan islander turned away from his home to perk his ear, leaning in as he'd take his lantern with him. "What in starry skies? Maybe it's some kids that were playin too hard?" He had hoped so anyway.
Even still, his pace quickened ever so slightly, faster before his wings would flare open as it was much more defined.
A child was near screaming, it made him hurt to hear.
Arthur took to speed as he'd search, listening until hed circle a spot. Under a great cliff there, it was fairly loud now.
"Oh kid..." it would come out a grunt as he'd take the lantern in his teeth and land, walking quickly before peeking through some bushes. "Heeey now easy there! You okay little honey?" A gentle tone despite the cries making him antsy, he'd come out further after a moment to stand over the pup. "Shhhh, easy now little honey, anything hurt? Easy~" Arthur would try to coo as he'd lower just enough to show his face next to the pup, offering a soft smile. He hoped she'd let him help.
[Alue]
Melody's head snapped in Arthur's direction, at first She thought it was one of the Fire Islanders from the gang that was after them, but his face didn't match those she remembered. Arthur could notice right away when one wing moved the other was immobilized, it looked broken, but maybe only dislocated. More tears formed in her eyes as she cried and sat down.
"Everything hurts so much! I fell from up there!" She pointed upward "please sir my mama is still up there I think! I'm so scared, I..I.." she continued to cry unable to form words anymore due to pain all over as she hugged one of his limbs in despiration
[Ramen]
Arthur slowly laid down next to the pup and spread a wing to cover her some, carefully looking her over as he'd give gentle coos. He lowered his ears some as he'd listen, looking up as she pointed up the cliff. "You, you fell pretty far honey huh?" He'd say softly, frowning only faintly before he'd lol back down and give her a gentle nuzzle. "Easy sweetie, here, can I take you with me? I'll see what I can do to ease the pain. For now we can make you feel better with some food and a place to rest yeah? I'll come back to look for your mother, it's too dangerous to bring you with me looking for her, okay?" He'd pause to let her listen, gently testing her wing in his hand a moment. He'd whisper a little sorry as he'd put pressure in places, pushing it back if it seemed dislocated. If it wasn't then he'd take a moment to give her some nuzzles to apologize
[Alue]
She whimpered and and flitched when he put pressure on areas that hurt, and cried out when he messed with her wing. It was defiantly dislocated. She nodded when he spoke of the fall and felt comforted by his nuzzles, it reminded her of how much father cared for her. Melody nodded once more, gladly willing to leave and hopefully make her pain go away. She whispered thank you over and over again as she nuzzles back on the crook of his neck, ready to go so she can feel better. The pain made her feel exhausted, and her stomach growled a bit as she was slightly flushed in embarassment. Just how long was she out?
[Ramen]
Arthur would whisper sorry whenever she whimpered, pressing his head to her own when she cried. "I'm sorry honey, but from what it feels like I can make your wing stop hurting. It won't feel very good at first though." He'd smile and sigh, looking up at the sky as he could faintly see the stars starting to show. "Come on honey, I'll take you to a safe place. My names Arthur, what does your mama call you?" He'd stand up, wrapping her up inside one of his wings safely as he'd turn and walk to the route home. He didn't want to jostle her any flying, but she was safe inside his wing. He'd chuckle hearing her stomach, peeking in to smile. "Sounds like we need to fix you up something warm"
[Alue]
Melody smiled and gave an exhausted giggle as she was scooped in his wing. As he started to move and smile towards her she gave a fast eager nod.
"Yes pleeeaaassseee." she stated happily, she felt rather cold from being outside for however long she was unconcious for, but didn't anymore now that she was with Arthur, some warm food sounded pure bliss to her. He could feel the fur of her tail move around as her tail slightly swayed at the idea of food.
"M-Melody, my name is Melody." she spoke softly as she watched the forest move pass them as he was walking to what she assumed was gonna be his home. She didn't say much about her wing, she just wanted the pain from everywhere to stop.
[Ramen]
Arthur smiled and turned down the familiar path, marked by smooth creek stones leading to a large blossoming apple tree. It was old, though massive and healthy. He'd peek in after a bit as he'd get closer, slowing his pace to stand on his feet and carefully place the lantern on a small stubbed branch. "My my, what a pretty name, it suits such a pretty little girl" he'd speak with a hum to his gentle tone, lowering to walk down and open the door.
He had a feather and wool filled round nest like spot on one side, stone shelves with knickknacks, pictures, a ukulele on its own designated spot. The other side had a small trap door and a stone corner, holding a table that bared a fruit bowl and a cupboard of warm bread among other things.
He'd go inside and gently set her in the nest, moving to the cupboard to get a bowl.
"Sorry it's so small sweety, I've never needed much"
[Alue]
Melody smiled when Arthur commented on her name. She gasped in awh of his house being a tree and how it went down below the tree was his designated home. "No it's ok, your home is so much cooler than mine!!" she rolled a bit on his bed, trying hard to not cause herself more pain. It felt extremely soft like her mother's fur before she got comfy. She looked around the home and pointed at the trap door
"What's behind that small door?" she asked curriously, wondering if it was similar to the small door she had in her room that would easily let her in and out of the home to the outdoors. It felt nice here, very welcoming given its size
[Ramen]
He would start to fill the bowl with some small chopped fruit and make a little bit of sandwiches-simple peanut butter and applejelly. Her comment on his home had him giggling and a little warm, muttering a little thank-you. Turning to give her the bowl he'd gently ruffle her hair tuft as he'd perk his ears to her question.
"Oh, that's an extra route out incase there's trouble. It's a very long tunnel, goes to a different part of the island in the woods. You may use it freely but be very careful-it's meant to be hidden" he'd warn gently as he'd come crawl into the nest, stretching a wing out as he'd grab a cloth and gently start to clean her up.
"I'll wait till your done eating to fix your wing honey, it'll hurt a bit so I don't want to scare ya"
[Alue]
Melody watched him the entire time, cooed a bit when he ruffled her tuff til he crawled into the bed then happily started to dig into the food, starting with the sandwich.
Upon finishing the sandwich is when she spoke "I used to have the same thing in my room too! Only there wasn't a tunnel, just my back yard." she giggled slightly, she really missed being at her home, when her family was together til her father disappeared. She fell silent for a moment as she looked towards the enterance of Arthur's home. She was worried about her mother, Melody hoped that she was ok and she would see her soon.
Then she noticed the instrument sitting in its own spot and looked up/back at Arthur "do you play that often?" she asks wondering what it is.
[Ramen]
He would hum as he'd tend to her wounds, waiting until she were finished to look at the trap door as she spoke. He'd smile and let a little chuckle slide out. "Oh yeah? This goes a little further than a back yard, bit it's used just the same" he'd yawn a little, settling in and leaning on the edge of the nest as she went quiet. When she spoke again he'd look over at the instrument and a warm smile would spread. "I play as often as possible little honey, it's my only real love in this world" he'd take the ukulele off it's placement carefully, laying on his side to hold it. Chocolate brown eyes looked down to the colorful melody gently as he'd smile. "My ukulele, my love"
[Alue]
Melody hardly felt anymore pain as her wounds were treated, her nerves probably numbed the pain by now as she watched while he spoke passionantly about the ukulele, and started to eat the fruit, being watchful to not have any fruit juice or bits on the precious instrument. "Could you play me a song perhaps?" she asked kindly, lightly plucking a string to hear the tune with her unused paw, though it didn't sound as great as it should since she never played before. Soon the bowl too was gone, and Melody's belly felt satified after going without for a while. She settled into the bed more, waiting for his response.
[Ramen]
He would watch her quietly as she looked at the instrument, perking his ears as she plucked a string. He hadn't realized she finished her food, and paused a moment to set the bowl aside. He'd smile and cup her cheek, wiping her off before he'd respond. He'd wait with a little nuzzle, and quickly press her wing back in place. "I'm so sorry sweetie, you'll feel much better later. I'll play for you if you want" he'd say gently as he'd pet the pup carefully to apologize, doing this for a minute or two before he'd take his ukulele and get comfortable on his back.
He'd play a soft bouncy tune, humming along and giving little smiles or nuzzles every so often.
[Alue]
Pain spread through her again as she felt her wing shift back into place, there was a nastly popping sound as he set it in place. Her body moved off to the side and more toward Arthur as she started sobbing, though she realised he was right and the pain was gone soon after, and she could slightly move her wing like it was normal again.
The tunes and Arthur's humming soon calmed Melody down as she snuggled against Arthur, exhaustion started getting the best of her as the music was starting to put her to sleep.
"Don't...fo..rget.....Mama..." Melody whispered softly before her body tiredly gave in to deep slumber.
[Ramen]
He folded his ears some hearing her cry, giving what comfort he could while she was still sore. Once she had settled in to listen he couldn't help the butterfly warmth in his chest as the pup snuggled into him, his wing draped over them both as he'd play.
Her drawn out whisper made him frown, though he'd nod and give her cheek a little press, pecking before he'd set his ukulele back in its place, nestling down into the nest and curling around melody carefully.
"I won't forget, I'll find your mama melody. You just get some sleep" it'd be a murmur before he'd relax into his own slumber.
