The PoD is already written in the previous posts, so never need for an elaborate explanation.
This flag was considered important because it was the previous flag of the country before the late 19th century. Today, the Royal Standard is usually reserved for the members of the Ryukyuan/Formosan Royal Family, although it was sometimes used in period film and television dramas.
By the way, the design was inspired by the flag of its OTL counterpart , but with a difference: I added another stripe in the top, and the emblem was an earlier version of the national emblem.
