Description Second-to-last dump, the few remaining ones should be done in due time. Still want to grab one? ramul.deviantart.com/journal/F…

67: neotemic caddiflie sophont

69: gibbon elves

70: 1. A retro-"pterodactyl". It has a short, compact body, a long curved neck like a vulture, and an even longer tail ending in a bladed spike on the tip shaped like an arrowhead. A row of spikes also runs down the neck, back, and tail, which are covered in armored scales at the top and smaller, pointed scales on the underside like those on the throat of a bearded dragon. The wings are long, broad, and have veiny membranes supported by a single robust elongated finger as well as multiple cartilaginous struts extending from the arm like a fish fin, and each is equipped with three large curved claws as well as a series of short blades extending from the wing finger, giving it a saw-like profile. The membrane attaches to the sides of the body from the arm to halfway down the tail. The legs are bird-like, with gigantic eagle-like talons on the feet for seizing prey. As for the head, it generally resembles a cross between a Pteranodon and an ibis; its a long but robust bill is full of serrated recurved teeth like a theropod and is shaped somewhat like a Persian scimitar, with a slight downwards curve. It also has a long, brightly colored, saber-shaped crest of bone growing from the top and back of the skull, with saw-like bladed serrations on the upper edge; smaller bladed crests also grow from the brow ridges over its eyes.

71: A prehistoric unicorn from the Ice Age, inspired by the wooly rhinoceros as well as unicorn tapestries. It resembles a Clydesdale horse, but is the size of a small elephant and has a sloping back like a rhino. It is mostly covered in striped fur like a zebra, but the back has dermal armor like a rhino with rows of widely-spaced crocodile-like bony scutes, and the the neck has a long, flowing horse-like mane that looks very beautiful, with the fetlock "feathering" appearing similar to this mane; its four-toed feet are large and broad to support its great weight, each with two hoofed rhino-like toes in the middle and the other two shrunken and vestigial. It has a large tapering tail shaped like a lizard's, but with the same dermal armor as the back except for the last third or so, which is taken up by a flowing "tassel" like the mane. On the other end, it has an enormous horn on its nose like an Elasmotherium, but long, slightly curved, and ridged like a goat's; each of its brows also has several small, non-functional hornlets. The ears are long like a donkey's, with lynx-like tufts at the tips, the snout is pig-like with large boar-like tusks, and a flowing goat-like beard decorates its chin, longer in the males.

72: Something based on the Kraken of Norse mythology (not the Clash of the Titans version), a huge sea monster with traits of crustaceans and cephalopods. Though it has a squid-like silhouette, with a long body on one end and a cluster of tentacles on the other, closer inspection shows that its "mantle" resembles the body of a shrimp, with numerous jointed armor plates on the upper side and a lobster-like tail fan, but longer and more serpentine with numerous swimming fins running down its sides like an Anomalocaris. The dorsal armor has many rocky protrusions that make it resemble a small island, while the underside is softer and has ten pairs of small jointed legs with which to crawl along the seafloor. It has massive eyes with horizontal pupils like an octopus, but set on eyestalks like a crab; six ocelli like a wasp or scorpion are visible just behind the main eyes, and two huge siphons shaped like cannons are mounted upon the sides of the head. Though mostly a filter-feeder, it can also actively hunt large prey, and it does so with eight octopus-like arms, with a hooked barb in each sucker, and two long, thick squid tentacles tipped with crab-like pincers, albeit longer, thinner, and spinier a la the claws of a Mixopterus sea scorpion; the tentacles themselves have segmented armor and paired barbs on the undersides like Anomalocaris arms. These arms and tentacles surround a round mouth like a lamprey, comprising many rings of small but sharp inward-pointing teeth, with a ring of large jointed pedipalps surrounding it, each resembling the upper part of a cephalopod beak.

73: A carnivorous plant-like organism from a tropical alien planet. Though mobile, it is slow-moving and prefers to remain rooted in one place. Its main body is a bulbous, pear-shaped root-bulb, large enough to contain animals up to the size of a cow, with many tentacle-like thorny roots growing out of its bottom, each tipped with a crushing crab-like pincer, which it uses to "walk", burrow, and constrict and tear apart prey. The top of the bulb is thinner, more flexible, and somewhat stalk-like, bristling with thorns for protection, and is topped by a "flower" with eight large, broad, colorful petals and four snail-like eyestalks in a radially symmetrical formation around a circular mouth with several rings of huge sharp teeth like a Sarlacc, which leads to an internal digestive chamber like a pitcher plant filled with a sickeningly sweet-smelling corrosive fluid to entice prey into falling in before dissolving it; it can also expand its mouth and gullet like a snake to engulf bigger prey. Victims with a poor sense of smell are surprised by the root-claws bursting out of the ground upon approach, whereupon they are dismembered and devoured; when mobile, its roots also have a long reach and can grab prey and reel it in before it can escape, and it can also regurgitate gobs of its digestive fluid to disable victims from afar.

74: A giant omnivorous velvet worm from a cold mountainous climate. Growing up to 20 feet long, it no longer breathes through its skin but instead with primitive lungs connected to spiracles running down the sides of the long body at regular intervals, each resembling a shark's gill. The body itself is segmented like an earthworm and covered in "fur", actually enlarged and elongated "scales" like those on a velvet worm's body, though there are still visible seams between each segment, which is protected by a pair of retractable, venomous spines like those of Hallucigenia (i.e. two rows of spines running down the back). Both the head and the tail have a pair of fleshy feelers, each of which is scaly and resembles a rat's tail, but is tipped with a tuft of sensory hairs. The twenty pairs of legs are short, stocky, and furry like the body, but each foot bears a pair of large, retractable, venomous claws for climbing and seizing prey. Its head has no functional eyes to speak of, since it normally dwells in caves within the mountains, but it does have four ocelli barely visible under the "fur"; its mouth is vertical (yes, in the "vagina dentata" sort of way) with a row of sharp peg-like teeth on each side for crushing, grinding, and scraping. Instead of forpicules, each side of the head has a nozzle which it can use to spray a jet of sticky, freezing fluid, trapping prey for it to eat at is leisure.

75: A draconic looking creature whos posture and proportions call to mind a lion or tiger, but its anatomy belies a more crocodilian origin. Its forelimbs are slightly longer than its hindlimbs and sport large claws. It has a short, almost leonine face, with a short horn on its forehead. Its toothy jaws are armed with a pair of "scimitar" fangs. And finally, it has a long, flat tail that broadens towards the tip, with the scutes splaying out to the sides rather than merging in the middle. I also want it to have a "mane" of scutes on its neck and shoulders

76: If humans had arms that attached to our body like spiders  (one pair or two)...though the legs can be IRL.

77: A soft-bodied, furred predator, longer than it is tall, it's frontal portion terminating in a blind, armored head, with a mouthpeice like a squid's beak assemblage married a horrible set of pedipalps, standing on segmented legs, and overall being between the size of a bull and a small elephant, however the twist is that it takes after Cystalia monogastrica (A type of microscopic hydrozoan) :iconineptusastartes:

78: A descendant of the mosquito that has evolved to become an aquatic plankton feeder, like a whale. The wings are vestigial and resemble spikes. They have no front and middle legs, but the back legs are more like paddles. The abdomen has segments, but resembles the tail of a dolphin. The large compound eyes still remain, and the antennae have become long and whip-like, trailing for a few feet behind its body. Its proboscis has split in two and has become net-like in appearance, which is used to catch plankton.

79: A land-based sea apple, where the tube feet have become four large legs that support its bulk. The outline of its 'skeleton' is visible through its skin, being hardened internal struts that are arranged in a lattice pattern.

81: A type of coral that has evolved to grow on land and not in the sea. It looks very similar to Staghorn coral, but the polyps look very much like lichen instead of anemones.

82: a flying worm.

87: Requesting a cute looking male Kobold who has the traits of all 3 types of Kobold from German lore, and the Kobolds in my setting are intelligent lemurs.

88: a arthropod species that adapted for sapience, including an opposeible appendage or two, a brain that can store and use info easy and retain memory, and possibly something related to the society it would form

I am in absolute awe of all of the creature designs you did for me. Bravo, man! The retro-dactyl is my favorite, of course, but I really like the way you did the unicorn and kraken as well! Hmm, I wonder if I can use some of the creatures you designed for me for my own story projects, with credit of course? And also if I can color all of them, too...

As for the others, my favorite by far has to be the gibbon-elf. I'm reminded of my own magical setting where the elves are adapted for brachiating, and the resultant proportions aren't too dissimilar from the one you drew. The only difference of course being a prehensile tail on mine. The lemur-kobold and sapient arthropod are pretty cool too. You've got a lot of skill in fantasy creature design, all in all, and I can't wait to see more of your request doodles and other stuff in the future!

Thanks. You can do with them whatever you want, as long as it's non-commercial.
So, your elves would be closer to spider monkeys, since they have brachiating locomotion paired with prehensile tails, rather than gibbons?

Yay!  Well, uh, I do plan to put some of them in a book series I'm currently working on, but now I'm concerned that this counts as "commercial use"... Would creatures that just resemble your drawings (i.e. taking some design cues from yours but not direct copies) work for that purpose instead?

And yeah, spider monkey is indeed a more accurate comparison. Aside from them, there's several other hominids that have evolved into different niches, too - massive burly bear-like ogres, burrowing morlock-esque dwarves, and fast-running halflings with digitigrade legs. Hmmm, I'd better get started drawing the four hominid races and how they work, it's high time that I get started on my worldbuilding art...

So sort of like the tailed folks in Pal-Ul-Don that you see in the Tarzan books? Neat!

What else have you got? Lizardfolk? Minotaurs? Mermaids?

The goblins of my project are lizard folk, and I have plans to draw the biology of my mermaids even though Mermay's come and gone. Not sure about minotaurs but I might reserve them for monsters rather than people...

I also have plans to sketch the four types of humanoids of the project, as well as specific ethnic variations for each! I've got a full list of different ethnicities saved along with notes of those particular ones my hominid protagonists belong to, so maybe I'll finally define their appearances too once I get the race basics down.

Perhaps minotaurs could be chalicotheres, or even derived descendants of something like Agriochoerus - to be honest, I'd love to talk shop with you via notes!

If you intend to sell the books, then yes, but it only applies to the drawings shown here themselves. Making new drawings using the depicted designs is completely fine by me, and probably the better choice considering those were quick drawings.

Sounds interesting, I'm always a sucker for more interesting humanoid race designs.

Good to know, thanks! I'll definitely start posting my worldbuilding art soon, starting with my four hominid races - I've already got some preliminary sketches... And one more time, thanks for drawing all of these concepts for me, and I hope to see more of your creature design art in the future!

Is it possible for me to make another creature request? I absolutely love how my Kobold looks, as well as the other doodles in this piece.

You still have four slots open, but please put them into the journal, it makes it easier for me to keep tabs on the requests.

Oh man, I love it! I was a little surprised that you changed the forehead horn to a pair of ear-like horns, but it's really growing on me. I'm assuming its fangs are hidden behind its lips?
