PINK FLOYD IS SCIENCE! OwO Thought it's funny how people only recognize dark side of the moon, and don't really know any of their other albums...
People always used to laugh at me when I was little because I said that white was all the colours mixed together, then I showed them how a prism works, but they still ignored me and called black and white "shades" even though black is the total absence of colour....

The place where you have your color conversation get interesting is when someone brings up emission versus reflection.
A white light is indeed able to be split via prism into our color spectrum, but if you take every color of paint and mix them together, you get a dark brown/almost black color. In terms of reflection, black is every color combined, while white is an absence of color.
The science behind art can get confusing sometimes.
