That one's name is Nymphia/Sylveon (Japanese/English)

I'd be willing to bet you 1k USD that the type for it is going to be Flying.

Think they'll have another one, too? Releasing just one eevee-lution is kind of strange. Especially with so many types to cover. ; w ;

Ever since Sylveon was announced, I suspected there would also be a male counterpart; possibly a fighting type.

Meh... female? I could possibly see that, but those ribbon things really look like they could be based off of ribbon based wind socks (those little wind decoration things?) and Nymphs and Sylphs (the basis of the Japanese and English names respectively) have long been related to the element of air.

Back when the only thing released about the new evolution was the japanese name (which most people pronounced and read as Ninfina) the speculation was much more interesting; but the release of the English name kind of sealed it for me since all of the Eevolutions' names are based off of their elements in English. (Sylph = wind spirit)

Oh, I completely agree about the type. XD I'm just trying to figure out the evolution process. I mean, are they gonna introduce a new evolution stone/item? If it *is* a female-only thing, Sylveon's gonna be stupid rare. x.x And yeah, sylph is an air spirit. My bro and I called that one as soon as we heard the respective names. x3

I can't imagine it being female-only. There are a lot of feminine-looking pokemon these days that can have males. Besides, if it were going to be female-only, knowing the way the franchise has handled this before, there would have been another male-exclusive form.

Besides, look at the latest evolutions, Glaceon and Leafeon. They were item-based. Really, all eevee evolutions with the exception of Espeon and Umbreon have evolved with items of some sort. If it's not a ribbon, it'll be a stone or something similar.

Leafeon and Glaceon were location evolutions. In their case, the location being near a special rock. Also, I'm going on a theory that there's going to be a male version announced down the road, and I suspect it'll be fighting type.

The light blue one is Glaceon. Ratiazu is referring to Sylveon, the evolution to be released with the X/Y games.
